Commonly seen near the slow flowing water and pond. The adult males are black in color with stripes of bright yellow on  the thorax. White rings are present at the abdominal joints and  white  patch ay last 2 sections of  the abdomen (tip) . The legs are typical  yellow to orange color  The sub adults are white in color and gradually blackened when they mature

  形態  腹長3-3.3公分，後翅長1.9-2.1公分。雄蟲複眼上方黑色，下方黃綠色。胸部黑色， 有黃斑不規則雜於其中。翅透明無色，翅痣深褐色。腳橙黃色，中、後腳脛節細長略呈紡錘狀。腹部黑褐色，第9-10腹節乳白色，第3-7節前端有一白斑;肛附器白色，下肛附器端部黑色。未熟個體腹部白色。雌蟲與雄蟲體型相似，體色主要為褐色。腳黃褐色。

  成蟲出現於4-10月，分布於海拔500公尺以下地區。稚蟲悽息於池塘、沼澤等靜水環境或緩流的水溝、田溝中。成蟲習慣在棲息水域旁的草叢或樹蔭下活動，成熟雄蟲也常在日照充足的水邊覓食。

During my last visit to the  in Lake Gardens of Kuala Lumpur I found about 10 Copera marginipes in the Odisis  Garden. A few pairs were mating.
