Measurement of a male Euphaea subnodalis

Total body length : 36 mm
Abdoment length : 28mm
Hind wing length : 23mm


This male  Euphaea subnodalis  is found in Sabah March 2007

Found on rocky, swift flowing forest streams.

The males like to perch on logs and any other emergent vegetation towards mountain stream where water current is swiftest.

Female were seen ovipositing submerged totally into  fast running water. Females are extremely inconspicuous never take long in laying their eggs.
